At Lifetree Café you’ll have opportunities to share your faith story with people hungry to hear and open to listening.
And everyone grows closer to God.
Through guided conversation, biblical insights, compelling stories on film, and friendship-building experiences, God’s love shines bright at Lifetree Café.
The Mission of Lifetree Café
Lifetree Café’s mission is simple: to help people grow in relationship with Jesus. We do this by fostering a community where believers and not-yet believers can come together and experience firsthand the unconditional love, grace, and acceptance that God has to offer.
Lifetree Café is for everyone
Lifetree Café provides a safe place where believers and not-yet believers are free from judgment and where they can share their thoughts and their doubts. It’s a place where people can talk about topics that matter. Each Lifetree Café experience offers scripture, prayer, and a spiritual "aha," and invites people to experience God in a fresh new way.
Lifetree Café also provides a unique opportunity to enter into meaningful, spiritual conversations with people from your community who are searching for meaning and purpose in their lives but may be reluctant to participate in a traditional church setting.
The Lifetree Café welcome sign
When people walk into a Lifetree Café, they’re greeted by a welcome sign that lets them know...
You’re welcome just as you are.
Your thoughts are welcome. Your doubts are welcome.
We’re all in this together.
God is here, ready to connect with you in a fresh way.
Lifetree Café works in a variety of venues
Lifetree Cafés are planted all across the country in a variety of venues. Here’s a short list showing the types of locations where Lifetree discussion groups have been hosted: churches, coffeehouses, restaurants, pubs/wine bars, hotel breakfast areas, community centers, libraries, senior centers, apartment building commons, group homes, YMCAs, a doctor’s office lobby, a ministry house, an art gallery, a thrift store, the coffee area in a grocery store, food pantries, detention centers, and homeless shelters.
When choosing the best location to host your Lifetree Café discussion group, the first consideration is to determine how conducive the space is to conversation. Because Lifetree Café is a “conversation café,” people need to be able converse in a comfortable setting that is free from distractions, unwanted foot traffic, and ambient noise.
Seating also plays a big role in the Lifetree experience. We’ve found that small, café-style tables seating four people are ideal for the experience. If you don’t have small tables, simply have people pull their chairs together in 3-to-4 person cluster groups.
